Two sections of MEDP 285 Web Production 1, all taught online synchronously
Course Description
This course is a production course with a technical emphasis on popular code-based techniques for web production including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JS frameworks and libraries. The goal is to introduce various fundamental front-end web and internet technologies, and in doing so, to present a clear understanding of how they interrelate to produce creative content for web distribution.  Readings relating to net culture and other creative forms for network spaces will be required as well as technical readings.

Web Production II builds upon the tools employed in Web Production I to begin developing dynamic websites and other creative works. Advanced coding methods will be introduced in HTML, JavaScript, JS Libraries, AJAX, PHP, MySQL and XML. Students will develop multiple interactive web projects using a range of methods and tools. The projects will cultivate an understanding of user-centered design and the development of effective websites across multiple genres.

Course Description
Advanced programming skills for website design. Dynamic content development explored through javascript and related languages for the creation of interactive websites. Students will create web pages that utilize the most current techniques in web development. The curriculum in this class emphasizes an integrated and creative approach to web programming, including detailed instruction and practice in the technical aspects. It is designed to give students a basic introduction to the tools and techniques used by web programmers.
