The Builders Association is a NYC-based, Obie-award winning performance and media company that creates original productions based on stories drawn from contemporary life. The company uses the richness of new and old tools to extend the boundaries of theater. Based on innovative collaborations, Builders’ productions blend stage performance, text, video, sound, and architecture to tell stories about human experience in the 21st century.
The Builders Association is seeking a VIDEO DESIGN ASSOCIATE with professional experience in multimedia theater. Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of current video technical design, including real-time video playback and operation in a performance context, live show control systems such as Watchout, and video processing with tools such as Max/MSP/Jitter. Experience with Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop and Isadora preferred. The position will include participating in production rehearsals and performances, touring, and assisting with video equipment maintenance, purchasing, etc.
Competitive rate, commensurate with experience.
