Towhee Co./ Modavend, a Fab Lab / X-Education start up, seeks an intern to support start-up efforts in our fledgling fabrication studio.
Examples of tasks may include:
– research and helping to form curriculum
– research and acquisition of equipment and materials
– materials research
– odd and sundry communications tasks (website/Wordpress updates, email blast coordination)
– some heavy lifting/physical handling of heavy materials
– equipment maintenance (3D printers, CNC gear, traditional)
– outreach event support
– coordination assistance for very small events, classes, and charettes
– file management and rendering oversight
Located in Jersey City (convenient to the West Village/NYU area via PATH train).
