Senior Mobile UX Designer
About the job:
We are a new startup, spun off from Interlude’s proven platform for delivering a seamless dynamic video experience. We are building a whole new way for people to communicate with each other and are looking for a mobile UX superstar to design a consumer-facing mobile app that will effortlessly whisk our users through the experiences of both authoring new content and exploring other users’ content.
About you:
- The perfect user experience – everyone is talking about it, and you know how to deliver it.
- You’re never satisfied with a solution that’s just “good”.
- You can conceive of an idea, sketch it, photoshop it to pixel perfection, design and observe a usability test and analyze results of an A/B test.
- You are looking for a project that will blow you away.
- You have demonstrable design experience in several platforms, know that you can design for any platform, but mobile apps are really your thing.
- You are familiar with iOS UX idioms, and have a strong feeling for when to put them to good use, and when to do something completely different.
- You love interacting in a collaborative team and working directly with developers to implement designs.
- You have the necessary communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to gracefully and powerfully advocate for your design decisions.
- You are familiar with other mobile UGC apps and feel very strongly about which are the good, the bad and the ugly.
Responsibilities
- Design a new mobile app, initially targeted at the iPhone.
- Work closely with software developers and product managers.
- Contribute to the visualization of innovative product concepts through whiteboarding, diagrams, and high-level interaction flows.
- Own the end-to-end design process and deliverable set (including information architecture, wireframes, high-fidelity screen mockups and GUI elements) with frequent iteration and evolution of design solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate the feasibility of proposed designs and find impressive UX despite technical constraints.
