Project Lead Opportunity with Textile Design and Manufacturing Company
Overview:
Web designer/developer Project Lead to conceive and build new WordPress site for Tribeca-based,
textile design and manufacturing company. We seek someone who can translate beautiful textiles and
home furnishing images into a compelling web experience. It is essential for this individual to quickly
conceive and build a WordPress site which accomplishes brand and business objectives.
Project Information:
Timing: immediate and goal is to deploy new WordPress site within 45-60 days
Compensation: commensurate with experience and based on approved project proposal
Design studio location: Tribeca
Requirements for Project Lead:
Design Requirements:
Extensive Website design including responsive design
Photoshop and InDesign
Strong photography skills and creative sensibility given need to manage intern who will photograph and
create image library for 1000+ SKUs across multiple product categories
Luxury brand sensibility given nature of product and clientele
Developer Requirements:
Deep WordPress experience
Creative Suite and HTML5; PHP / MySQL development; Javascript and jQuery development
Experience with SEO (and particularly on page optimization)
Experience developing responsive websites
Experience with website performance testing and tuning, browser compatibility troubleshooting and an
understanding of progressive enhancement and graceful degradation
Working knowledge of HTML emails and associated coding requirements
Personal Requirements for Project Lead:
Detail-oriented and highly organized
High degree of visual creativity and style
Self-starter with ability to multi-task, function as a one-person team, identify issues and meet deadlines
Team player with positive, can-do attitude who is calm under pressure
Good communicator with others less knowledgeable in technology
