JOB: SENIOR INTERACTION DESIGNER
Interaction designers at Studio Akko are confident with both their left and right brains, able to identity market and user opportunities and pain points through user research and their own instincts. Passionate about product, the senior interaction designer is able to work in appropriate fidelities from rough hand-drawn sketches and wireframes to detailed design specifications and ideally “looks like” paper prototypes for testing, using light visual design skills.
The ideal candidate is comfortable with the following areas:
- Gather, define and refine product requirements
- Plan and/or participate in user research
- Write and illustration personas, scenarios and workflows
- IA development, refinement and documentation: wireframes, navigation models, content models
- Prototype and test design concepts
- Expertise in GUI design for mobile, web, and/or physical devices (please specify in your application)
- Quick thinker and problem solver with excellent communication and writing skills
- Highly detail-oriented audits of your own work and the work of teammates
Qualifications:
- BFA, BS or equivalent in Design or HCI related field
- 3-5 years of experience or Master’s Degree in related field
- NYC-based for on-site work
- Basic graphic design sensibility
- Well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Fireworks
- Visual design and motion graphics/video a huge plus
