Looking for physics engine developer
We are Sascha Pohflepp and Chris Woebken, currently artists in residence at the Eyebeam Art + Technology Center in NYC. We’re working on a project called Elsewheres in collaboration with theoretical cosmologist Dr Janna Levin.
As part of this project we’re looking into simulating realities other than our own, ones with different laws of physics as ‘designed’ by Janna.
At the moment we are considering ways to go about this. We’ve worked with simulation techniques in the past in order to simulate things like the flow of air and collisions and we are looking for a developer who may be able to alter certain parameters within a physics engine to reflect another reality.
Please get in touch if you have any expertise with engines like Bullet (or any other one really that is open to modification) and time to start now. There’s a bit of funding available for your work and there will be an exhibition at Eyebeam in January.
At any rate we’d also be interested to meet and chat if the subject is interesting to you.
Please get in touch at sascha@pohflepp.com – Thanks
