OPEN CALL TO ARTISTS/UNDER THE VIADUCT

12TH Avenue Viaduct also known as the Riverside Drive Viaduct from 125th Street to 135th Street

The Riverside Drive Viaduct, built in 1900 by the City of New York, is a viaduct constructed to connect an important system of drives in Northern Manhattan, a high-level boulevard extension of Riverside Drive over the barrier of Manhattanville Valley to the former Boulevard Lafayette in West Harlem. May, 2014 marks the 200th anniversary of 125th Street.

Terms and conditions:

– All artists can participate without consideration of nationality or age.

– Works can be individual or group projects

– Works must be dated after 2010.

– Maximum of three pieces per artist or collective.

– Digital art, hologram or film works can’t be longer than 3 min.

– Pieces must be sent by mail (not online) in DVD only (NTSC).

– All participating artists will be notified via email.

– Deadline: Saturday May 31.

 

*The West Harlem Art Fund and NOMAA reserves the right to not include videos with content that can be offensive for the general public

 

Documentation to contribute (Word by email or mail)

– Title.

– Year and place of production.

– Brief Synopsis.

– Artist Resume.

– A still frame of the video (jpg).

Technical Specifications:

– Production Format.

– Sound: hi-fi, stereo, mono, no sound.
