Working Environment:
The LAB at Rockwell Group is an interaction design, strategy and pop-up architecture team within a larger architecture firm. Our work explores the integration of technology and media into architectural spaces in order to enliven the physical space and create immersive social experiences. We are a diverse group of designers, strategists, writers, architects, creative coders, hardware and software engineers who function as a team, each bringing their specific experience to a project. Primary Responsibilities: The role of the Project Manager is to introduce structure and process into our design work, and to have a high level command of deliverables, budgets, timelines and resource requirements across all projects assigned to them. They will work with creative leads to effectively and accurately manage client work and with the project team consisting of architectural designers, software developers, interaction designers, graphic and environmental designers, and strategists. The Project Manager works on new business proposals, nurtures client relationships, develops budget estimates and schedules for new projects, and then manages against those parameters for incoming projects. The Project Manager at the LAB at Rockwell Group is a blend of client-facing account manager, and on-site installation coordinator for our interactive technology projects. The role is varied depending on the different type of project and stages of your projects, and requires patience and the ability to clearly articulate complex issues to team members and clients. Potential candidates for this position could come from a variety of backgrounds: advertising or digital agency, museum and exhibition installations, architecture and interiors with a digital twist – but the most successful will have the following skills: Required Skills:
