The Junior Front-End Web Developer / CMS Administrator is an entry-level position, that will work with business and marketing stakeholders to develop and maintain the March of Dimes family of websites, marchofdimes.org, nacersano.org, shareyourstory.org, marchforbabies.org.
This position will report to the Director of Digital Strategy & Production and will be mentored by our Front-End Web Developer / CMS Administrator. Primary responsibility will be to assist in the production, modification and maintenance of the March of Dimes family of websites.
Front-End responsibilities: Use front-end web technologies to transform designs and wireframes into mobile-responsive, interactive web pages. Adheres closely to foundation best practices and technical standards.
CMS Administrator responsibilities: To develop a deep understanding of our Content Management Solution, RedDot/OpenText, projects, templates, capabilities and limitations. Create CMS templates from fully-designed web pages.
This position will also work closely with other members of the Digital team including designers, content producers, quality assurance engineers and server-side developers. Responsibilities will include system troubleshooting, CMS system development and ongoing improvements and optimizations to these systems.

Education

College graduate. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) preferred with an emphasis in Front End web development.

Strong skills in front end web technology implementation using HTML5, CSS3, .NET, XML, XSL, Ajax, Responsive Media Queries, JQuery, JavaScript, and other web presentation technologies
