[INTERN] Viacom Fall 2015 Design Internships (Digital & Motion)

A Viacom Internship allows college students to work in an innovative, progressive, fast-paced and professional environment. Students are exposed to all levels of the company, which has proven to be an invaluable experience to individuals interested in pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. Candidate Eligibility

  • Viacom’s Internships are paid at a standard competitive hourly rate, so proper work authorization is needed to be employed within the United States.
  • Open to college juniors, seniors, masters students and law students. Upon acceptance, we will require a letter from your school confirming you are a matriculated junior, senior, masters student or law student.
  • Internships available: spring, summer and fall semesters.
  • Students must be available to work a minimum of two full days per week; some areas may require additional days.
  • Requires a minimum of 10 weeks (no weekends).
  • College credit is not required, but we will provide appropriate documentation if necessary.
  • Application dates for resume submissions are rolling.

Here are a few examples of Design Internships:

  • The Nickelodeon Creative Resources team oversees all of Nickelodeon’s consumer products. They help in the creation of product, making sure that the overall look and feel of each item is exciting, innovative, and on strategy with the individual properties and Nickelodeon’s business initiatives.
  • The Comedy Central Brand Creative team is responsible for creating graphics for all brand creative print, multiplatform and video promotion. They design both static and motion, from billboards to Facebook content to assisting with promotional campaigns.
  • The Viacom International Marketing team handles property & brand management for Nickelodeon across lines of business and international brand and franchise marketing strategies for brand and key programming. They manage pro-social marketing as well as provide channel, commercial, movie, and program sales marketing support.
  • The VH1 On-Air Graphics team creates on-air elements for VH1 shows and productions including opens, bumpers, bugs, transitions and production frames.
  • The MTV .Com Design team is responsible for the ideation and design for all web/app related assets. They cover a wide range of projects from web design, prototypes, UI/UX and motion, working on product and brand-level initiatives.
  • The Catalyst Design team is Viacom’s in-house creative group. They operate like an agency and take on projects including: logos, branding, invitations, event graphics, eblasts, presentations, etc.
  • The Spike Off-Air Creative team produces graphics that promote programming and the brand. They work closely with press, talent, sales, production on projects ranging from print collateral, online banners, branded premiums to animations for promos.
