The Creative Technologist is responsible for working with creative teams to develop their ideas using HTML, CSS, Javascript and other related technologies. Our Technologists are relied upon for their expertise to identify solutions to seemingly impossible problems.
This role requires someone with varied capabilities and interests who, along with writing clean code, is well versed or familiar with Canvas, WebGL, ThreeJS, Processing. Projects will vary from creating prototypes for products of the future, to developing websites, to creating analytics dashboard, etc.
Mobile (iOS and Android) and Back-End Development chops are a huge plus.
Responsibilities:
- Identify details in design and layout in order to replicate in HTML
- Working knowledge of GIT (Github)
- Go from storyboard to execution.
- View creative sketches/storyboards and determine feasibility of execution
- Proactively deliver suggestions and opportunities to creative teams to allow for best-in-class executions
- Direct creative teams toward the best user experience, while staying on-time and on-budget
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years’ experience developing code for the digital space
- Strong communications, writing, and organization skills
- Detail oriented
- HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with CSS and Canvas animation
- Familiarity with task runners such as Grunt, Gulp, etc
- Familiarity with preprocessors such as SCSS, LESS, etc
- Excellent debugging/problem-solving skills
- An understanding of the subtleties of image formats, such as image quality, file size and suitability
