[JOB] Front End Developer, Alan Lomax’s Global Jukebox Project

FRONT END DEVELOPER POSITION AVAILABLE – ALAN LOMAX’S GLOBAL  JUKEBOX PROJECT
The Association for Cultural Equity (ACE) http://culturalequity.org is looking for a P/T Front End Developer to work on the online launch of the Global Jukebox “Song Tree” project.  The Global Jukebox is a monumental knowledge base of world performance style – a massive audio-visual archive joined with a metadata set developed by legendary musicologist Alan Lomax and his colleagues to explore and map global patterns of song and dance style.  The Front End Developer will join the team that is bringing the Global Jukebox online.  Skills include web front end development and building on existing code using: HTML5, javascript and js libraries (D3, Raphael, Leaflet/Mapbox, SoundManager). Tasks include integrating in-house database backend through custom APIs; work with database developer to build those services.  Must demonstrate skills and ability to deliver on the required tasks.  Minimum 15 hours per week work commitment – now through mid February 2016.  If interested, please send cover letter and qualified resume to Francesca Smith-Archiapatti: kiki@culturalequity.org
