D&S brings together researchers, entrepreneurs, activists, policy creators, journalists, geeks, and public intellectuals to gather, debate, and engage one another on the key issues introduced by the increasing availability of data in society._*The Job*The technologist will support a Data & Society research fellow who is conducting a project to understand and evaluate health technologies. More specifically, the technologist will participate in user research and interviews to provide insight and understanding into new mobile products within the healthcare industry.Required skills/experience:– Social data analysis of Twitter and Facebook– Twitter API– Web scraping– Proficiency in Python– Natural Language Processing– Understanding of connected devices– Good communication skills– Experience working in a deadline driven environmentThis position is ideal for a current Master’s student. Opportunities to take on additional research responsibilities will be based on experience.
