Hey there! We’re looking for a front end-developer who can work
independently and create engaging browser-based experiences for our
immersive tech wonderland that we just finished building. We’d also
want someone interested in hacking around with our budding collection
of gadgets, including VR headsets, HoloLens, and especially Amazon
Alexa.
The AT&T AdWorks ( http://adworks.att.com ) Media Lab is a physical
space in Rockefeller Center where we have a couple dozen large screens
many of which are touch experiences. We also have a 210″ diagonal LED
video wall (full 4K resolution) and we want to create content for that
too. We literally just opened the space to visitors, so it’s very
shiny and new; still we want to beef up our interactive storytelling
over the coming years. There’s also a traveling interactive
installation we periodically take to client events around the country,
and we’d need your help with that as well.
We also want to try and integrate the aforementioned gadgets into the
Lab experience as well; for instance we’ve integrated an Echo Dot into
the sound system for the whole space, so when you ask Alexa a question
the audio comes back through the main speaker system.
We’re looking for 2+ years experience coding, testing and shipping
projects in the following areas (almost all of our stuff is running in
fullscreen Chrome):
Languages: JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS / LeSS / Sass
Frameworks and libraries: Django, React, JQuery, Node
Tools: Grunt, Gulp, Webpack, Git
