JOB: adjunct instructors needed for Fall 2017

We are looking for adjunct instructors for the following undergraduate course for Fall 2017:

  • CSCI-UA.0004 Introduction to Web Design & Computer Principles

    4 Points. Undergraduate-level. Fall, Spring, Summer.

    Prerequisites: Three years of high school mathematics or equivalent. No prior computing experience is assumed. Students with computing experience should consult with the department before registering.

    Introduces students to both the practice of web design and the basic principles of computer science. The practice component covers not only web design but also current graphics and software tools. The principles section includes an overview of hardware and software, the history of computers, and a discussion of the impact of computers and the Internet.

The course would meet during the day twice a week for an hour and
15 minutes each day.  The expected pay is $7,255.92 per semester.

Adjunct Faculty Positions

The Computer Science Department has continuing part-time opportunities for adjunct faculty to teach at all levels of its programs. The department is interested in candidates with industrial experience for upper level undergraduate and MS courses.

Applicants should include a resume and the names of several references and indicate courses they would be interested in teaching. Evidence of teaching experience is significant.
