The Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center is a small museum about baseball in New Jersey, about 45 minutes by train from NYC. They are seeking proposals for an interactive educational exhibition that tracks, measures, and visualizes information about the visitors’ ball-throwing baseball pitches.
You can use any technologies you prefer (e.g. Kinect etc.), but the museum has a preference for open-source toolchains (e.g. OF, Cinder, Processing), and there’s an opportunity to create an installation with some exotic and expensive doppler radar devices, that have been donated to the museum, for measuring ball speeds.
