The Solomon R. Internships are also available with Guggenheim special projects and initiatives such as the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Project, the Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative, the Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Chinese Art Initiative, and the Panza Collection Initiative.

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is currently accepting applications for Summer 2018

Digital Media. Internships are also available with Guggenheim special projects and initiatives such as

2018 Internship Program will begin on Monday, June 4 and end on Friday, August 10. Summer
internships are full-time, four days a week Monday-Thursday, in addition to half-day seminars on
Fridays.
We are pleased to offer $500 stipends to all undergraduate-level students and $1,000 stipends to all
graduate-level students who are accepted into our Summer 2018 program.
Application deadline for Summer 2018 internships is January 30, 2018 (postmark).
Candidates must be of junior-year college level or above to be considered.
Internship Program Description
The o bjective of the Internship Program is to offer practical museum tra ining e xperience to individuals
inte rested in pursui ng careers in the arts and museum fi e ld s. Interns g ain a gene ral knowledge and
broad unde rstanding of how a particular de partment functions within the context of a major museum,
as we ll as specific skills related to a partic ular departme nt‘s activities. Inte rns are assig ned to a
department based on the ir academic backg rounds, professio nal skill s, inte rest s, and career goals.
Inte rns pa rticipate in the o ngoing wo rk of the department and complete specific projects o r portio ns

Museum Culture Seminar Program
The Museum Culture Seminar Program forms an integral part of our Inte rns hip Pro gram. T he
program in cludes fi e ld t rips to sites such as auctio n houses, ga lle ries, corporate collectio ns, and other
museums. Discussion with Guggenheim Museum staff from a ra nge o f departme nts and aware ness of
a range of museum-re late d issues is facilitat ed. A field tri p o utside of New Yo rk City is pla nned for the
end of every session.
