INTERN: NYC Mayor’s Office, PT/FT, Co-Lab Assistant

NYC Mayor’s Office

PT/FT Internship, Co-Lab Assistant

The New York City Mayor’s Office are looking for a paid intern to join them this Summer to work on smart city projects in NYC:
We are looking for an intern to assist with our Co-Labs, which invite New Yorkers in select neighborhoods to help us scale technologies in a responsible fashion, and with our IoT Platform development project.  Responsibilities will include: conducting research on IoT best practices, contributing to written reports, evaluating and building pilots and prototypes, and managing relationships with City agencies.  We would love to have people with an interest in prototyping and R&D and who also have an interest in policy and governance around IoT in urban environments.  Software development skills would be a plus though are not required.  Ideally we’re targeting a graduate school-level intern, but we would be open to considering undergrads or folks out of school looking for experience in this space if it’s the right fit.

The specs of the internship are as follows:
Can begin as early as May 14
        Part time or full time
Paid hourly – $10/hour – for no more than 35 hours per week
Internships must end on or before August 31

If interested, please contact Paul Rothman at prothman@cto.nyc.gov.
