Student Assistant at AMPED Lab
AMPED Lab (Prof. Yoav Bergner) in the program of Educational Communication & Technology at NYU Steinhardt is seeking to hire a senior undergraduate or graduate student to assist with instrumentation and data capture of collaborative project work in a Makerspace. This is an hourly position for 10 hrs/week (negotiable) this Fall semester.
Job Description and Qualifications
The student will work closely with faculty and doctoral students on engineering, prototyping, and testing data capture solutions for human subjects doing collaborative project work. Particular support will be needed in mid-November for a live data collection. Data sources may include video tracking (using computer vision), audio capture, proximity sensing (using wearable RFIDs), etc. The applicant should have experience with hardware and software for sensing, recording, and storing these data. Programming and data analysis experience will be highly valued.
Dates: Oct. 1 — Dec 15
Rate: $22/hr
