Theater and Classroom Technician
Position Summary
Perform a variety of technical tasks for Dance and New Media including use of lighting, audio/video equipment, camera equipment and streaming for stage dance productions and studio/classroom use. Maintain equipment room and monitor pick-up/drop-off services. Provide technical support services including equipment repair and installation, equipment delivery and retrieval for both stage and classroom use. Operate a wide variety of media equipment including specialized equipment requiring significant training. Operate equipment during dance productions including streaming performances. Archive production footage. Perform skilled maintenance and basic repair of equipment. Schedule – Monday – Friday 9:30am – 5:30pm
Qualifications
Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
A/V Certification
Required Experience:
3 years’ experience with a/v technology, camera and film equipment, and projectors
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience in coordinating the work of production crews; experience as a lighting, sound and video for dance
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of streaming and production practices. Ability to set up, operate and troubleshoot audio reinforcement and video playback, intercom systems, Mac OS computers and Qlab software.

Audio editing/live mix; video editing, Isadora software and streaming software
