Guggenheim Summer Internships
The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum offers internships in departments across the institution.
We are pleased to offer all summer interns a stipend in the amount of $5,250 for participation in the complete, 10-week program.
The Summer 2020 Internship Program will begin on Monday, June 1 and end on Friday, August 7. Our application deadline is February 7th
The objective of the Guggenheim Museum Internship Program is to provide practical training experience to individuals interested in pursuing careers in the arts and museum fields. Interns gain a broad understanding of how a particular department functions within the context of a major museum, as well as specific skills related to that department’s activities. Interns are assigned based on academic background, professional skills, interests, and career goals. Under the supervision of designated staff members, interns participate in the ongoing work of museum departments, complete individual projects, and contribute to larger Guggenheim initiatives.
In addition, Museum Culture Seminars form an integral part of our Internship Program. Site visits to other New York arts and cultural institutions, and discussions with a wide array of arts and museum professionals are facilitated. A field trip outside of New York City is planned for the end of each internship period.
