From Eyebeam
We’re going to be giving a $5,000 grant to the best 12 ideas for a better digital future, focused on the question of how to exit surveillance capitalism and what can replace it. Then, after working over the summer, we’ll fund three of those ideas to be turned into actionable projects throughout the winter, at $20,000 each. This whole group will work closely together, acting as a virtual R&D Lab throughout the year, in collaboration with our current residents as well.
It is our attempt to model a different approach to launching important ideas and to distribute them into the larger public, and to begin to show how organizations like Eyebeam can begin to flip the script on what gets supported, and how.
