JOB: San Francisco State, Professor, Product Design

The design department at San Francisco State is looking for a couple more lecturers/ professors to teach the following two classes in product/ industrial design and rapid prototyping.  I’ll be teach a class there this fall and cant speak enough about the department head… she’s wonderful!  All classes will be online and instructors able to work fully-remotely.

DES 410 [02 ] – Product Design IIDescription

Prerequisites: Restricted to upper-division Design majors; DES 300*, DES 305*, DES 310 (Product Design 1)*, DES 321*(Solid Modeling SolidWorks), and DES 420 (Rapid Visualization)*; or consent of the instructor.Further exploration into the product design and development process: people, process, and product. User/market research, product development documentation, concept visual, models, and applications. Activity. Extra fee required. (Plus-minus letter grade only) Mo We  1:00 PM – 3:45 PM Hybrid (Most sessions online, some sessions in the Design Shops)

DES 460 [01 ] – Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing SystemsDescription

Prerequisites: Restricted to upper-division Design majors; DES 300*, DES 305*, DES 310 (Product Design 1)*, DES 321*(Solid Modeling SolidWorks), and DES 420 (Rapid Visualization); or graduate Design students; or consent of the instructor. Design applications for Rapid Prototyping and Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) systems; Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), integration methodologies and flexible manufacturing systems. Activity. Extra fee required. (Plus-minus letter grade only) [Formerly DAI 460]             Saturdays9:00 AM – 11:45 AM.  Hybrid (Most sessions online, some sessions in the Design Shops)1:00 PM – 3:45 PM
