NYDesigns Pitch Competition

| The NYDesigns Hardware Startup Pitch Competition is back on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 12:00 PM ET on Zoom. Applications are now being accepted. We are seeking hardware, design, consumer product, and related startups for this pitch competition. Eight startups will compete for resources to get their company to the next phase. The best types of startups to participate are those that are beyond the idea stage and moving into the prototyping stage, however, applications from all stages are welcome. We seek diverse teams with 2+ co-founders to apply for this competition. This equal opportunity program highly encourages applications from BIPOC, MWBE’s, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and other communities.
The top three winners have a chance to receive:
- First Prize: Entry into the Summer 2021 NYDesigns Hardware Startup Accelerator ($1,000 value)**.
- Second Prize: One Microsoft Surface Pro ($399/value)
- Third Prize: $100 Facebook Market Credits ($100 Value)
Teams accepted into the competition will pitch their startup idea, problem, value proposition, traction, and product demonstration to a panel of 4-5 judges in the hardware and design ecosystem. Each team will have six minutes to pitch why their innovative startup solution is a game changer in their respective industry and why they need NYDesigns’ and ecosystem resources to attain their goals.
