NYU ITP students, alumni, faculty & community members are invited to apply for The David Prize, an annual Open Call for New Yorkers with ideas for a better, brighter city. Each year 5 visionary New Yorkers win $200,000, no strings attached, to support their work & ideas. Share your idea at thedavidprize.org — the deadline for 2021-22 submissions is December 21, 2021.
The Prize is for individuals that would otherwise fly under the radar of traditional funding sources, are proximate to the challenges they’re out to solve and have a true need for unrestricted funding. They want to hear from people who have a big vision for a better New York, people who get things done but haven’t done it all–yet. Past winners and finalists are doctors, organizers, activists, entrepreneurs and beyond.
Submissions are open now at thedavidprize.org, and nominations are open on a rolling basis. Website submissions are accepted in English and Spanish; if you need other linguistic support or have questions email info@thedavidprize.org and the Prize team can help. They can’t wait to hear from you!
