University of Michigan has a new undergraduate degree program in urban technology, and they’ve launched an experimental fund to offer support to prototypes that in come way combine code and/or hardware and city issues and needs.
– $5k USD project funding (for supplies, living expenses, whatever you need)
– Stipend to travel to U-M Ann Arbor campus to work, meet, present, etc.
– Affiliation with U-M for a semester
– Input and advice from Urban Planning and Architecture faculty on city challenges
