Position Summary
The Creative Careers Coach will
● Guide, advise, and support students interested in social impact careers through the
career planning, decision making, and job searching processes.
● Assist students in analyzing their interests and skills and developing career goals.
● Work with students of all identities to ensure they have access to the level of support
they need to be successful.
● Assist the Social Impact Careers Program Manager to develop and execute experiential
learning programs at the Social Impact Careers Hub.

The coach will work on average 20 hours per week in person. The pay for the position is
budgeted for $40/hour.
Position Duties
Career Coaching (75%)
● Coach and advise students and alumni individually, related to career/life planning
strategies.
● Evaluate students’ skills, interests, values, personality attributes, and experience.
● Instruct students in methods of career exploration to enable them to make effective
career decisions.
● Work with students to formulate an individualized plan of action including developing an
effective resume/cover letter, developing interviewing skills through mock interviews, and
designing job search strategies.
Career Development Programming (25%)
● Implement career-related workshops and services to students and alumni.
● Utilize relevant educational and organizational materials to support programs.
● Identify and secure guest speakers and moderate panels for academic and career
programs.
Position Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
● Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience.
● Experience in career coaching and/or academic advising
● 3+ years relevant experience in the social impact industry (e.g., nonprofit administration,
community engagement and organizing).
Preferred Education and Experience
● Master’s in Public Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, Education, or a
related field
● 5+ years relevant experience
● Experience implementing programs, seminars, events, and preparing training materials
