About the role

We’re looking for an incredible intern to join our team. We expect this person to contribute a minimum of 10 hrs / week. This is a paid position.

What you’ll be doing

  • Work directly with the founder and Head of Design on all elements of user research and building a digital product.
  • Talk with customers and document and structure feedback to make it actionable into our product development.
  • Support our product prototyping process as we prepare to bring it to market.
  • Collect and analyze user behavior data through a variety of channels, such as user testing, semi-formal interviews, observation, surveys, A/B testing and more.
  • Work closely with product team to identify opportunities for research, choose the appropriate methods, conduct the research and analyze and present results.

Ideal qualifications

  • Have minimum 2 years of work experience, ideally in a Product, Strategy, Design, Engineering or Marketing role.
  • Currently pursuing a PhD or Graduate degree in UX, Human Centered Design, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI) or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of social media, good product instincts, a creative approach to research design, and a bold, entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Track record of working independently and effectively making impact in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.
  • You are excited to get early-stage startup experience and are comfortable navigating through ambiguity.
  • Proficient in collaboration and design tools (Slack, Notion, Figma, Miro, etc)

Bonus points

  • You can make design and prototypes and are proficient in no-code tools (Bubble, Webflow, etc).
  • Personal passion for entrepreneurship and economic mobility.

What we offer

  • We are open to part time (minimum 10 hrs / week) or full time internships.
  • Opportunity to be on the ground level of an exciting opportunity with a talented and mission-driven team
  • Pollen is a remote-first company but you will have to be available on US-friendly hours.
