From ITP Alumni, Shaun W Axani:
“The team I’m on is hiring a design technologist at Amazon that’s more of a new-grad level (likely from the grad program, but maybe not depending on the candidate). If people are interested they can email me (axani@nyu.edu) and I can refer them internally and bypass the screening bots.“

DESCRIPTION
The Amazon Device and Services Design Group (DDG) is a multidisciplinary design team that is responsible for the CX and UX across the Echo family of devices, Fire TV, Fire Tablets, Alexa Mobile and more. DDG’s mission is to conceptualize and bring to life delightful, easy-to-use, and high value experiences for our customers.
Design Technologists on our team partner closely with design and engineering partners to guide product and feature development, bring clarity to engineering goals, and develop a user-centric point of view. This is where you come in.
You will help build towards prototypes that bring UX ideas to life. These artifacts will be used to help gather evidence, aid decision making, and help make incremental progress towards new features and products. Equipped with a maker’s mindset, you will creatively overcome platform limitations, tinker with ideas, and think outside the box.
