JOB: NYU CREATE 2D Graphics Designer 

NYU CREATE is a consortium of researchers committed to conducting research, providing education, and fostering community interaction to design evidence-based digital media that address the needs of all learners. We design simulations, games, AR, VR, web and mobile apps and other tools for learning and assessment and conduct rigorous research to understand design principles and the impact these tools have on learning. The CREATE Lab is looking for a 2D Designer who can help us design visual solutions like posters, presentation decks, infographics, and materials for various media like virtual reality, tablets, and web. Experience with WebXR or AR/VR 3D Asset creation is a plus.

Position Details: 

Start Date: January 2026

Workload:10 hours/week 

Location: NYU Brooklyn Campus 370 Jay Street 

Experience and Skills: 

● Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign), Figma. 

● Demonstrated 2D graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.

PROGRAMS IN EDUCATIONAL COMMUNICATION AND TECHNOLOGY 

● Support the team in maintaining brand consistency across all visuals and communication channels. 

● Closely working with the researchers, developers and other artists 

Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with motion graphics and video editing. Bonus skills: Experience with WebXR or AR/VR is a plus. 

Experience using Autodesk Maya, ZBrush and Adobe Substance Painter is a plus NYC Pay Transparency: 

Starting Fall 2025, in compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly base salary range for student employment positions are $16.50-$18 per hour for undergraduate students and $30 per hour for graduate students. The hourly rate for graduate employees is based on the collective bargaining agreement with Local 2110.
