Role Overview
We’re looking for a Creative Lead with a strong background in science, technology, healthcare/health tech who can translate complex ideas into compelling content.
In this remote, part-time role, you’ll collaborate with scientists, founders, and organizations working at the forefront of research and innovation. You’ll create engaging written and digital content, manage client relationships, and help guide experts through communication exercises and lesson plans designed to improve how they present their ideas.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both creating content and teaching others how to communicate better.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Write and edit high-quality content that translates complex scientific or technical topics into clear, engaging narratives
- Develop scripts, social media posts, presentations, and other creative materials for clients
- Adapt messaging for different audiences, including general audiences, media, and professional communities
Client Collaboration
- Work directly with clients to understand their goals and messaging needs
- Help shape communication strategies for scientists, founders, and organizations
- Deliver polished content and creative ideas that exceed client expectations
Science Communication Coaching
- Lead scientists, researchers, and founders through communication exercises and lesson plans
- Provide feedback on presentations, talks, and public-facing content
- Help technical experts develop engaging speaking and storytelling skills
Required Qualifications
- Strong technical or scientific background (e.g., tech, healthcare, health tech, AI, robotics, or related fields)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex ideas into engaging content
- Experience with social media, digital content, or creative storytelling
- Comfort using AI tools and modern content workflows
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage client relationships and communicate professionally
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Background in STEM, medicine, healthcare, or technology
- Experience working in tech startups, research institutions, or scientific organizations
- Comedy chops
- Client facing work, particularly with big brands
- Familiarity with science communication or public-facing technical content
- Experience creating content for social media platforms

Compensation
Creative Leads are paid $40/hr for client-facing work (plus a revenue share) and $30/hr for delegated creative work and internal work.
Weekly time commitment is expected to work up ~15 hours depending on your availability and the fit with our needs, with potential for expanded responsibilities based on performance.
