Freelance Operations Manager

Viacom Media Networks is looking for a contract or freelance Operations Manager to run the 2-week production sprints for the Nickelodeon Networks Group websites (Nick.com, TeenNick.com, NickAtNite.com, Nicktoons.com, Spongebob.com, and NickJr.com).  These production code releases include projects, enhancements, and bug fixes. Responsibilities specific to this position include:
– Secure development and QA resources for the sprints
– Run the Sprint planning meeting
– Determine sprint contents based on business value of requested features and sprint team capacity
– Set and communicate sprint milestones to the team
– Communicate with sprint team (developers, producers, product owners, buildmaster, QA, and tech leads) to ensure milestone delivery
– Facilitate sprint milestone completion; understand issues and impediments and ensure resolution
– Arrange meetings as necessary between developers and producers or product managers to
– Greenlight each stage of the sprint from kickoff to production deployment

The Operations Manager may also be asked to project manage small web projects based on workload.
