Dear Researchers,
We are excited to be entering a new phase of the NYC Media Lab: we have a total of $125,000 earmarked for 6 seed research collaborations with industry partners ATT, Verizon, Time Warner Cable, HBO, Hearst, and ESPN. Funds will be allocated in $25,000 increments, to be distributed through The Matchery, NYC Media Lab’s platform for collaborative projects.
We’d like to invite you to submit projects for consideration, particularly in the following areas: Data, Mobile, Social, and Video. If you are interested, please submit your projects by Monday, April 22.
How it works:
- You submit a headline and short description (max. 1500 characters) for a proposed digital media project.
- NYC Media Lab vets the submission, adding your bio, an endorsement, and contextual tags.
- Our corporate members are invited to explore, contribute to, and help select projects.
Check out examples of projects already submitted.
Project terms: Your university will own the IP. Each of our corporate charter members will receive a non-exclusive license to commercialize the IP.
We look forward to your submissions. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Best,
Roger Neal
Executive Director, NYC Media Lab
