[GIGs] Assistants Needed for Two Projects at the New Museum

There are two projects that require workers to be present in the exhibition.
One is a ceramics project in which the person working will be using a custom machine that was built by a group called Unfold. The machine essentially is a 3d printer using ceramic slip instead of plastic as is the case with the Makerbot. They would like the project to run Wed – Sun. from May 3rd – July 7th, but I’m still negotiating with them as to the exact schedule. Also, the artists original intentions is that the ceramic pieces that would be printed would be kept by the assistant, fired in a kiln, and sold on their own. However, I don’t think this is the crux of the project, and if the end result is solely that someone works with the machine but doesn’t keep the results, this would be fine as well.
The other is a group called blablabLAB which has a project called “Be Your Own Souvenir”. This would require two assistants that would run a camera and makerbot setup that would allow viewers to have their pictures taken from 3 sides, then immediately printed out using the makerbot. This would require some experience, or interest, in interactive technology, but it should be somewhat user friendly. This one we will probably only do on Saturday and Sunday, as those are the days with the highest number of people visiting the museum.
Feel free to have people reach out to me directly here at the New Museum.
Thanks again,
Joshua
