[JOB] ReD Associates apprenticeship program

I am writing to you on behalf of ReD Associates, which is a strategy consultancy based in the human sciences. We have an office in Copenhagen and in New York. We are contacting you because the application round for our apprenticeship programme for students and graduates is starting today, October 1st. The apprenticeship is a 3-4 month paid internship, which can be done in the summer or spring of 2016. It is also our programme for new employees who want to kickstart as full-time consultants. Apprentices that get hired as consultants after the apprenticeship will receive a handsome sign-on fee.

Below I have attached a file with a poster that gives details on the apprenticeship as well as directions on how to apply. We hope you will help us by sharing this with your students.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help. Please let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to answer them.

Yours sincerely,

Nikolaj

BECOME A PART OF THE RED APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

Why do so many chronically ill people refuse to take the medicine they need?

How do you sell green solutions to people who don’t care about pollution?

How is technology changing how people work, relax or play?

To help our clients answer questions like these, ReD Associates is looking for curious minds to join our team.

WHO WE ARE

ReD is a strategy consulting company based on the human sciences. Clients come to us with business problems

that are big and fundamental in nature, and characterized by a high degree of uncertainty. The anthropologists,

sociologists, economists, journalists, and designers who make up ReD employ the methods of social science to study

human behavior and help our clients develop a perspective on their business. Our unique approach marries

methods from social sciences and traditional business to provide clients with clear and comprehensive direction for

moving forward.

WHAT WE OFFER

An intensive three-to-five-month experience, the ReD Apprentice Program is an opportunity to get to know us,

work as a Consultant, and see if it is a fit for you. It is the recruitment ground for new consultants and thus a

launching pad for a career at ReD or beyond. The program is for both recent graduates, and others with an

interest in consulting. Upon successful completion of the program, you may be offered a full-time position as a

Consultant.

companies like Samsung, Adidas, Novo Nordisk or LEGO overcome their biggest challenges. You will be an

integral part of our small close-knit project teams, working side by side and in a similar capacity as other

Consultants at ReD. You will use your discretion and judgment to advise our clients on how to grow their business,

and you may well be asked to travel to other parts of the world for fieldwork and meetings.

Your work will typically include:

  • Qualitative and quantitative research, primarily ethnographic fieldwork and expert interviews that

involve deeply immersing yourself in a phenomenon

  • Development of insights, concepts, solutions and recommendations for our Clients, and exercising

judgment in research and recommendations made to Clients

  • Planning, presenting and managing key workstreams on projects
  • Building presentations for ReD Clients based on research and analysis (quantitative or qualitative)

Overall, during the apprenticeship you will be given the responsibilities of a full team member so that you gain a

true understanding of the daily life of a Consultant. You will have the opportunity to show your motivation,

dedication, and your ability to make an impact as a Consultant.

WHO WE LOOK FOR

We seek exceptional graduates from all disciplines and backgrounds. You must have an analytically sharp and

empathic mind and a professional work ethic that inspires and motivates people around you. You must be

intellectually curious, and have great communication skills (internally and with Clients). In evaluating applications

we specifically look for:

  • An outstanding academic record, preferably Masters degree (or beyond) or advanced knowledge in the

social sciences or humanities

  • Relevant experiences that highlight your skills as a problem solver, leader, thinker, innovator, etc.
  • International experience and language skills
  • Previous experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods

HOW TO APPLY

We will be accepting applications for 2016 positions in New York and Copenhagen from October 1 to October

30, 2015. If accepted, the apprenticeship would start either in Jan / February 2016 or June 2016.
