My company EdLab is looking for visual designers for their Dev UX/UI department.
Visual Design Interns support our UI/UX team in a wide spectrum of design work and will craft and hone such skills as mapping requirements to storyboards, translating information and visual designs to mockups, creating prototypes (lo- and hi-fi), sourcing useful media (like images and icons), and producing graphic designs.

The Visual Design Internship of EdLab at the Gottesman Libraries awards three-month, six- month, or nine-month internships to students and recent graduates interested in the intersection of design, education, and libraries. The person who fills this position plays a central role in our development process. Visual Design Interns gain valuable professional experience working on significant project-based opportunities. In addition, interns participate in ongoing professional development as part of our weekly seminar series. Visual Design Interns support our UI/UX team in a wide spectrum of design work and will craft and hone such skills as mapping requirements to storyboards, translating information and visual designs to mockups, creating prototypes (lo- and hi-fi), sourcing useful media (like images and icons), and producing graphic designs. As part of your application, please include a link to your portfolio (or relevant work samples) in addition to your cover letter and resume. Submissions without a portfolio included will not be considered. This is a paid hourly internship with the possibility of renewal. What you'll do: Contribute to and evolve the visual style of our websites and apps. Participate in the brainstorming and creation of exciting design elements. Translate bare wireframes into visually appealing designs. Use Photoshop and/or Illustrator to produce graphic design assets. Build interactive prototypes (using Sketch, Flinto, Axure, Invision, etc.). Light coding experience (CSS, JavaScript, HTML) is a plus but not required. Who you are: A visual thinker who gets their ideas across in diagrams, scribbles, and sketches. An effective communicator, verbally and in writing. Someone who stays up to date with the latest innovations in web and mobile design. Well-versed in design composition and principles. Versatile and adaptive; willing to accept new challenges and learn new things, often on- the-fly. A self-starter who is driven to deliver their best on every project.
