I am the Program and Development Lead at Second Chance Studios, a nonprofit digital media company that trains and employs formerly incarcerated individuals. Our goal is to become the preeminent digital media ground for formerly incarcerated individuals, as well as a transformative model for decreasing recidivism specifically through high-growth industries. Our model addresses an urgent social need with a truly innovative solution: we will place formerly incarcerated people in new media professions such as podcasting and video editing where employment opportunities are forecasted to grow up to 3x the average of all occupations within the next decade.
As we gear up for our inaugural launch, we are looking for facilitators to lead the software facilitation in these key software tools: Pro Tools and Premiere Pro. Pro Tools course work is slated to kick off in December 2021 and Premiere Pro will be introduced in January 2022.
We are a small non-profit with limited funding, but can offer a small stipend for facilitators who are able to work with our fellows through the duration of the software portion of the program (2 – 3 months). For those interested, please reach out to partners@secondchancestudios.
