Job Title: Curator / Exhibition Designer
Location: Shenzhen, China
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and layout design for the Exploration Space to ensure an engaging and educational visitor experience.
- Develop a comprehensive exhibit plan, including a detailed list of planned exhibits. Manage the entire lifecycle of exhibit development from inception to completion. This includes initiating preliminary research, overseeing the design of prototypes, guiding the engineering and manufacturing processes, and handling the installation, debugging, and subsequent improvement phases.
- Work closely with various departments/agencies to integrate exhibits into broader educational programs. Adapt exhibits for educational activities across different contexts, ensuring they meet learning objectives and enhance visitor engagement.
- Coordinate with educational teams to ensure exhibits are effectively utilized in the Center’s educational offerings, enhancing both the informational and interactive aspects of the visitor experience.
Job Requirements
- Passion for life, full of curiosity and creativity, with a strong product spirit.
- Bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited university, preferably in exhibition design, toy design, industrial design, or related fields.
- In-depth understanding of interactive or participatory exhibits in museums both domestically and internationally, with rich hands-on experience in exhibit development. Proficient in 3D and graphic design software (such as CAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Basic understanding of child development, with preference given to candidates with experience in educational projects.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Strong self-learning and critical thinking skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
