Company: Modus Education
Employment Type: Contract with the potential for long-term work (especially if you also happen to be a developer with great PHP, CSS, etc. experience).
Time: Start immediately through completion of a specific project (target completion date end of August).
Description: We’re a startup in the education space founded by an NYU alumnus, a current NYU MBA student, and just another guy with absolutely no connection to NYU, building graphical education content aimed at high school and college students. We’re seeking someone with illustration, graphic design, and flash production experience, to help us create interactive content that is very different from what you might think of as traditional education content. Our resource is comprised of a number of short audio/visual sections, and we want them all to look and feel different from a graphic design perspective. I guess one way to think of is it’s like the film ‘Paris, Je T’Aime’ for education (a series of shorts created by different directors that are all part of one larger film). We’re also looking for creativity, nothing boring or stodgy. The project could be for one section, but hopefully you have the inspiration to create multiple sections of our content all with a different look and feel.
Compensation: Paid position, with total compensation based on market, but variable depending on the amount of work done and ability to hit mutually agreed upon deadlines (we really don’t want our customers to hate us).
