The Role
Based in New York, the VP of Marketing will report to the CEO. The ideal
candidate will be a rock star, someone who has either created or lead
successful internet properties and who has experience with publisher
solutions, advertising networks, affiliate programs, cultivation of
developer communities and grass roots web marketing.
Responsibilities:
o) Drive awareness and usage of Daylife’s publisher solutions.
o) Develop marketing programs to reach out to our publisher and
developer community.
o) Define and evolve product positioning and messaging for all Daylife
constituents.
o) Build equity around the Daylife brand.
o) Deeply understand customer needs through primary and secondary
research and translate these to product suggestions/refinement.
o) Lead evangelism and guerilla marketing initiatives.
o) Develop collateral that optimally positions the strengths of our
products.
o) Build and manage the marketing budget; evaluate ROI of marketing
campaigns.
o) Manage and coordinate with PR firm.
o) Support the strategic partnership efforts of Daylife’s sales and
business development teams.
Requirements:
o) BA/BS degree, MBA a plus.
o) Minimum 7 years experience with building an Internet product or
brand, B2B2C experience a huge plus.
o) Experience building and/or managing teams.
o) Web-native and proven passion for technology; technical understanding
of online applications a plus.
o) Passion for analyzing products, customers and market dynamics.
o) Proven ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet
deadlines.
o) Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
o) A great team player, inspirer.
o) Strong organizational and analytical skills.

You: A freelance web producer with multiple skills, looking for
project-based work, ready to start immediately.
We’re looking for a freelance producer who can put together a whole
bunch of fun, rich, clever online marketing pages and materials. With
copy, illustrations, and video. You must:
1) Be A super-anal project manager.
2) Be hands-on. You’ll be expected to do much of the work yourself to
get these pages put together.
3) Have an easy, friendly writing voice with a gift for clarity – not
marketing-ese.
4) Be able to shoot and cut short video (of folks talking about the
company, our services, etc.)
5) Mange a design process
6) Be creative, scrappy, quick
