I. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Online Producer works as part of the production team to develop and main=
tain the day-to-day operation of Showtime's web sites and other digital =
media initiatives. This producer will work on projects related to Show=
time Original Series such as Weeds, Dexter, The L Word, and The Tudors.
II. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Online Producer is responsible for building web sites fro=
m the layered files provided by a designer, as well as maintaining sites onc=
e launched. Many elements on SHO.com’s sites are dynamic and database-=
driven, so experience working with dynamic pages is a big plus. The producer=
will need excellent XHTML and CSS skills, and, if relevant to their sites, =
Flash skills. The producer will also do light video editing, build ema=
ils, and create sweepstakes. (50%)
Project Management
The Online Producer is the point person for thei=
r projects, and is encouraged to take a leadership role in making sure that =
the sites they work on maintain a standard of excellence. The producer=
will need to regularly coordinate their projects with design, technic=
al, content, and marketing groups. An ability to manage timelines and =
set workload expectations is especially beneficial, as are outstanding commu=
nication skills. (40%)
Research and Industry Awareness
The Online Producer should stay abre=
ast of evolving technologies, suggesting ways in which new ideas could help =
better Showtime’s digital media initiatives. (10%)
III. &=
nbsp; DECISION MAKING/ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Online Producer reports to the Senior Online Producer but must have=
the ability to think and act independently. The Online Producer will =
be expected to represent department interests at internal and external meeti=
ngs. The Online Producer has no direct budget responsibilities beyond =
the responsible use of department resources.
