offers an outstanding opportunity to develop and coordinate an innovative N=
ew
Media curriculum while teaching undergraduate New Media courses.  Othe=
r
teaching responsibilities may include related courses within Graphic Design=
,
Photography, Printmaking, and Foundations, as appropriate.  We seek an
artist with substantial creative and technological skills, fluent in a vari=
ety
of media that may include: video/installation, sound art, interactive
programming, 2D and 3D animation, generative visual programming, augmented
digital performance, locative and wearable computing, immersive media, and/=
or
robotics.  Interest in=97and willingness to engage with=97other
studio areas in the facilitation of collaborative practices essential, i.e.
drawing and painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, ceramics, metals=
,
graphic design.  Fluency in historical and conceptual frameworks of Ne=
w
Media practice and commitment to research and/or exhibition is essential.&n=
bsp;
Additionally, the candidate will be required to participate in departmental=
and
institutional responsibilities such as service to the school, college, and
university.

 

Qualifications:

A
terminal degree in visual art/New Media or other appropriate field
required.  Strong research and/or exhibition record or potential
required.  Demonstrated broad expertise in a range of New Media
technologies required.  Teaching experience beyond graduate assistants=
hip
preferred.
