NBC is currently reviewing portfolios of qualified Mid level UI De=
signers who will research, architect, and design highly usable interactive e=
xperiences for web and software interfaces. We are looking for someone=
who is passionate about creating experiences that are intuitive and drive b=
usiness goals.
Candidates must be able to show examples of ho=
w they solved complicated problems without burdening users with complexity. Attention to detail
Specific Responsibilities:
* Desi=
gn wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to effectively communicate the user =
experience of features to internal stakeholders and project team members
=
* Produce high quality GUI elements and ensure aesthetic quality of interfa=
ces
Basic Qualifications Required:
* Minimum 2 years user=
experience design
* Proven experience designing customer facing interfa=
ces
* Strong understanding of UI/UX/IA principles and best practices
=
* Must have experience creating prototypes using InDesign CS3
* Knowled=
ge or familiarity with user research, usability testing
* Excellent visu=
al and oral/written communication skills
* Passion for and demonstrated =
knowledge of user-centered design
* Excellent black and white layout and=
Information Design skills
* Attention to detail
Preferr=
ed Qualifications:
* Degree in design or related discipline
* Hands =
on development experience
* Additional software/platform experience: Ad=
obe – Creative Suite
* Experience with use cases, user stories, and othe=
r documentation
* Knowledge or familiarity with Html/Flash
* Knowled=
ge or familiarity with CMS systems
* Sketching by hand
