The Social Computing Group at IBM Watson Research (http://socialcomp.com/) is looking for a summer intern for this year.
One area of interest is in innovative use of inexpensive mobile phones in emerging economies. This group has been involved in several fronts on projects related to voice (e.g., SpokenWeb), images (e.g., PictureTalk), and text (e.g, RapidSMS) and have a number of ongoing projects in Africa and elsewhere. Do you know of someone in your group/ among your collaborators who might be interested in an internship at Watson in this area?
