INTERN: GameGround Seeks Marketing and Gaming Writing Summer Intern

Overview

Game Ground is a new tool that lets you capture your PC/Online gaming data and use it to track your gaming history, challenge your friends, and create & earn new achievements in your favorite games. Founded by a team of games industry executives from Blizzard Entertainment, MTV and 888.com, and backed by Sequoia Capital, we are building a team of high-performers working to develop a groundbreaking product.

We are currently building a team of passionate gaming writers to help us with content creation on-site (through our blog) as well as our Social Marketing strategy. Applicants should be avid gamers (any style, any platform) and talented writers who feel comfortable producing a lot of content with short deadlines (~4 blog posts per day along with other responsibilities). We’re looking for fun team-players who will enjoy the atmosphere of a New York gaming startup, and are excited about the prospect of working hard to help develop a brand voice from the ground up. As the role is an internship, we’re also happy to work with you and/or your institution to make sure that you’re achieving your goals and getting some of the marketing/content skills you’d like to develop.

Responsibilities

Generate 4-5 original posts for the company blog per day, spanning game reviews, experience on-site, feature announcements and general gaming news/commentary.

Work in-depth with Marketing team to create social network (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) strategy and content

Work with community manager to compile and present feedback from on-site interactions and experiences

Play and interact maniacally on-site

Skills

Be a talented writer who can nail a fun/casual/smart/cool tone

Be capable of creating a large amount of content regularly, with short dead=
lines

Have experience blogging (well-maintained personal blogs included)

Have high interest in gaming, gaming news and internet services

Be comfortable playing and interacting in highly social environments
