We are looking for an imaginative, detail-oriented, interaction designer with around two years experience in a client side design firm or a masters degree in a relevant field.
Local Projects works in a broad array of media types, and offers a rare opportunity to explore cutting edge interaction design possibilities, win lots of awards, and work on meaningful projects with great clients. You=92ll be designing predominantly mobile, web, gestural, and touch interfaces for museums and public spaces. You will have an active role in exploring new interaction possibilities with emerging technologies such as AR, sensor-based interactions, and location services.
The most important skills are conceptual ability, followed closely by the ability to produce detailed, professional documentation including wireframes, sitemaps, and technical requirement specifications. Experience with ethnography and user research is a plus. You should also be able to clearly express your ideas and create various levels of prototypes. Ability to program in AS3, Processing, or openFrameworks is very helpful but not required.
