CITYatwork Faculty Instructor: GarageBand
CITYatwork (Community Initiatives to Teach Youth) partners with NYC schools and NY organizations to provide science, technology, and multimedia curricula and professional development. CITYatwork believes that it takes a city, not just a village, to raise a child and works to ensure that urban students of all ages develop the requisite skills in math, science, technology, and critical thinking to empower them to pursue 21st century higher education and professional careers. CITYatwork is a contracted vendor with the NYC Department of Education.
We are currently looking for a GarageBand instructor to teach professional development sessions to NYC teachers in the NYC public schools in June. Faculty instructors must be experts in the software and able to translate the software into basic professional development sessions to music and arts teachers in Grades K-5. NYC DOE teaching experience is preferred, but not required. $30/hourly rate for four PD sessions (2-hour classes) and allocated time for lesson planning.
