Student Worker – Multimedia Production
Stern Public Affairs is seeking a Student Worker to assist in the creation of multimedia content for the NYU Stern web site, including videos, audio slideshows and photo galleries. Student will be involved in all aspects of digital media post-production, and may be assigned to work with a Public Affairs staffer to photograph, record audio interviews or use a video camera to capture NYU Stern events for the website. Student should have a good eye and ear for storytelling, and will help us bring the NYU Stern experience to life on the web.
*Required Skills*
Experience with Mac OS and digital media post-production techniques, including:
* Image editing and processing, color correction, adjusting levels, cropping, creating title graphics using Photoshop and Illustrator
* Creation and editing of audio slideshows or photo galleries with Soundslides Pro or similar applications
* Audio editing and post-production for slideshows or podcasts, preferably using GarageBand or Soundtrack Pro
* Video and sound editing, titling and post-production using Final Cut Studio
* Experience formatting and compressing multimedia assets for web
* Interview transcription and script preparation
* Organize and maintain digital asset library
*Preferred Skills*
* Experience using a digital SLR
* Experience using a digital camcorder to capture interviews, class presentations, and b-roll footage
* Experience with setup and breakdown for on-camera interviews, including lighting, audio, backdrop
* Basic familiarity with HTML and web publishing
