Seek French-speaking consultant, with Internet publishing skills, available for temporary
contracts for the UN Secretariat, Department of Public information
Job Description
• Develop web sites in French and update existing websites in French.
• Research content online to identify information in French for site creation.
• Short translation from English into French.
Required Skills
• Fluent in French, with strong drafting skills
• Excellent knowledge of Office applications
• Working knowledge of English.
• Strong knowledge of CSS, accessibility requirements, and / or ASP and
ASP.NET.
Desirable Skills
• Experience with website development and maintenance (Content Management
Systems, Dreamweaver, HTML)
• Knowledge of the UN and its work
Conditions
• Short-term contracts as consultant; length and frequency of contracts vary based
on projects.
• Full time.
• Commuting costs are not covered.
Visa/Work Permit
Only candidates authorized to work in the US will be considered (US citizens, green card
holders, G4 or G1 visas).
